9:30 PM 9/9/2004 Lots happening today. The insurance adjuster arrived at 8:10 AM and did a through job, and especially took time to talk with Pat about her loss of quilt books and magazines. The Army Corps of engineers received word not to have the crews work at our park today. So the men arrived ready to work and just milled around most of the morning. Our mobile home did not get a tarp yesterday, and didn't today. They promise tomorrow, excepting weather or word from higher command to not work. Ironically, on the first day they tarped the roof of the woman who is staying with us because her trailer is a total loss, but they did not blue tarp our mobile home. At 7PM tonight we had a severe downpour and our kitchen ceiling roof panels started to show rain damage. I fear no tarp will be installed for us tomorrow. At 6PM tonight the park announced that they would close the water and sewer plant at 6PM Friday. Our rec hall that served as a Emergency Shelter is condemmed pending repairs. So we will be leaving our mobile home to whatever happens and staying with a friend who has a large cement block house till hurricane danger passes. Then we will return to what is left of our home............
