The human mind understands such a small sliver of the information contained in the universe. How can humans make progress towards understanding what is really going on?

The first trophy I ever won. The plaque says,"2004 Royal Palm Literary Awards, Henry Burt Stevens, 1st place Poetry." This was at the yearly conference of the Florida Writers' Association held in Orlando, October 5,6,7 2004. The video in my left hand was the year in review for FWA and the introduction was a video of my poem, "Victory." All this very exciting to me.
Here are five shots of Maureen Strange's home where we went for Thanksgiving. We were 16 altogether. It was a wonderful meal and party. Readers of this Blog will remember that Pat, Janet Walker and I spent 5 days with Maureen when we had to evacuate for Ivan. Maureen was born in Milan, NH, but the connection is quilting. Pat and Maureen met at a quilting class about 5 years ago.
This shows the pool and the shelves of orchids that surroung the outer perimeter of the pool. The screening on the pool allows 38% of natural light. Perfect for orchids.
Neighbors watching me take pictures from the end of my driveway. On the bike on the right is my next door neighbor Gary. The set up crew is pulling in to set up the second half of the double wide home.
My neighbor George in the foreground. The first half of the double wide home has now had the white shipping plastic peeled off waiting for the arrival of the second half of the home.
This end of the driveway report shows the two new homes in on their lots. The fourth building down with the pickup in front of it will be torn down some day soon.
This picture is taken from my kitchen door. It tells a happy story. The time is about 11 AM. Earlier my nearest dearest neighbor, Eleanor, was out hand watering about 8:30 AM. As this picture shows, Eleanor was moving her sprinkler around on the lawn mid day. Eleanor is feeling better. This picture is about 5 days ago, and I'm happy to report Eleanor continues to improve every day now.
Here is a quick end of the driveway report. A new home delivered. There will be another new home on the the open sand that you see. That will be my friend Hoagy's new home.
My new blog, http://vicopresscom.blogspot.com/, now has book reviews by James M Abraham. Some of the readers of Curious Mind might enjoy. See Book Review-James M Abraham
"Old-style politics makes great readEdwin O’Connor’s "The Last Hurrah" is the fast-moving, well-textured story of the last mayoral campaign of city boss J. Frank Skeffington."

Barnes Brothers are doing the installation. I note they are from Homestead, Florida. They had a lot of experience in their own hometows over the last 10 years.
Here you see the workers preparing cement block posts around the perimeter of the home. The same post throughout the center of the home have already been installed.
A happy voter heads for her car. Pat and I voted in precinct 14 about 5PM today. We are a small precinct and there was no line and there were plenty of helpful people to register us and help us with the machines. The usual sunset makes its daily contrubution to our happiness here in Florida..........bye for now, henry
